2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games Cabins
Pioneer Log Homes of British Columbia Ltd. is currently building two wonderful little log cabins for the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympic Games to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Pioneer had the privilege of building two fully completed log cabins to be used as information centers during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. They were temporarily located at B.C.I.T. and Capilano University during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Following this exciting time for all British Columbians these beautiful cabins were relocated to Porteau Cove Provincial Park on the Sea to Sky Highway to be used as recreational cabins for all future travelers to enjoy( they rent the cabins out to the public).
Pioneer's team of Master Designers with over 105 years of experience (from 112,000 square foot log lodges to quaint log cabins on remote lakes) have incorporated Pioneer's traditional building methods of character Western Red Cedar logs, Pioneer's one of a kind amazing joinery and beautiful featured flared log ends.
Pioneer has been on the world stage for nearly 40 years and was excited to have the opportunity to have our logitecture on display during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. This was a great opportunity to have 1000’s of visitors and competitors view our incredible craftsmanship, to touch, smell and to see first hand the coziness of a western red cedar Pioneer Log Cabin.
Now the general public has the opportunity to stay in these Pioneer Log cabins and experience the enjoyment of staying in a western red cedar log cabin at the Porteau Cove Provincial Park.
