At any time, Pioneer has over 200 loads of Western Red Cedar, in addition to other fine quality log species such as Douglas Fir, Lodge-Pole Pine, Engelmann Spruce at our building sites. Those seasoned logs ensure the stability and longevity of every structure we build. In all, we likely have more Western Red Cedar curing in our yards in Williams Lake, than all the other log builders in British Columbia put together. That makes it easy for you to personally hand pick a feature post or log for a specific special area of your new family home. Nowhere else in our industry is that possible.

Revered for centuries by the aboriginal peoples of the West Coast, Western Red Cedar is legendary for its resistance to rot and insects, as well as extreme durability in the most severe climate conditions. It's also a wonderful insulator thanks to a natural large cell structure. Mother Nature was certainly having a good day when she created these warm, rich, inviting wonders.
