Bryan Reid Sr.

Bryan Reid Sr.
From the start, Bryan has enjoyed sharing his passion for log home beauty and quality. Learning his trade under the guidance of local native craftsman and friend Samson Jack, Bryan's reputation for quality and craftsmanship quickly grew. In 1973, he established Pioneer Log Homes of British Columbia in Williams Lake, BRITISH COLUMBIA The rest is history - 37 years and counting. Bryan's dream from day 1 in 1973 was always to surround himself with his Family, & of course friends that we consider Family, we would have to say that his dream has come true.


André Chevigny

André Chevigny
Training under Bryan Sr., André quickly became a Master Craftsman. Today, André holds the title of General Manger, overseeing the day-to-day operations of Pioneer's three building sites and overall production, ensuring top quality as the organization continues to grow and meet demands. When you work with Pioneer, you'll for sure meet André. His passion will be apparent the 1st time you meet or talk with him on the phone. André takes a personal interest in every Pioneer client, sharing his keen sense of design, and knowledge of the complete building process.

When you call you will definitely get the same professional service that Pioneer clients have been accustomed to for nearly four decades. Our attention to detail and our knowledge on our log homes is apparent from the moment we meet. We have a passion for every structure, large or small.

With over 34 years experience in sales, Gary Crosina heads Pioneer's incredible sales team while looking after all of our US and international clients. His love for providing exceptional service has been known to keep him in our office for over twelve hours a day to ensure client satisfaction.

Mike Jacobson has over 15 years sales experience and takes care of all our Canadian clients. He has a very professional approach yet has fun and gets super excited with each new client looking to build their dream home.

Janine Potter is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone that our clients have grown to be fond of. Janine brings a very caring personal touch to every call or visit to our office. We are thankful for her input, she is a great help to all of us.

Brian Gardner has been with the Pioneer family only a short time, but he brings to our team forty years of log building experience. Our group is excited to have Brian be part of our elite team.

The cutest one in the picture is André's dog, Harley, our lil "Pioneer Pooch". Pioneer, is Harley's home away from home and he loves to visit with everyone in the office, especially if they have a treat.

André also takes a personal interest in every Pioneer structure we build. He works very closely with our sales team in every way, preliminary inquiries, napkin sketches and design suggestions. It is our mission to totally service our clients before, during, and after the sale. We continually receive phone calls and email letters thanking us in every way for the way we do business and our level of service.

David Chevigny
Brother David Chevigny trained under Bryan Sr., learned the basics of log home building in 1987 moved out on his own to establish Pioneer Logging. Today, David helps us secure and harvest the timber we need to craft our homes. He works closely with our entire crew of craftsman for specific special pieces of character wood that Pioneer has become "World Renowned" for. However it is especially Joel that works along with both David & André to help secure our house logs for the Finest Log Homes on Earth.

Bryan Reid Jr.
Training with André and Bryan Sr., Bryan Jr. is a Master Craftsman and oversees operations and training at the 153 Mile Building site. Bryan Jr. is just another one of the Pioneer Family craftsman that will over exceed all your log home expectations. Bryan often takes our Pioneer log packages & structures to different levels of construction after they have been re-erected on our clients foundations. Providing such services as roof & gable frame packages, this helps to get the log structures covered up & your family's investment protected. You will enjoy Bryan's knowledge and professionalism for getting the job done right, his skill & craftsmanship is apparent in all areas of the construction process.

Keith Reid
Owner and operator of MasterCraft Cabinets, Windows and Doors for the past 35 years, Keith entered retirement in 2008. Today, Mike and Linda Heath are continuing the tradition, creating beautiful custom cabinets, doors and windows for many of Pioneer's happy customers under the name Century MasterCraft.


Joel Roorda & Peter Arnold

Joel Roorda
Joel completed both his carpentry apprenticeship and log building apprenticeship working at Pioneer. Today, he heads our Williams Lake division along with Peter Arnold, specializing in incorporating unique and odd shaped logs into our handcrafted homes. Joel started with Pioneer in 1992 & has been an intricate part of our team for 18 years. His love for his work shines through every project Joel works on.

Peter Arnold
After completing his apprenticeship for heavy timber framing and carpentry in Switzerland, Peter joined the Pioneer family in 1994 an now works with Joel to head the Williams Lake Division. Peter's craftsmanship has been evident at Pioneer for over 16 years. Peter especially enjoys meeting our clients in person when they visit us here in Williams Lake, his love for "Our Art of Log Construction" is apparent to all our clients when Peter shakes their hand. Peter's respect for Mother Natures fingerprints in our Western Red Cedar logs, and placing them on a house that will last for generations is what drives him to new levels.


Beat Schwaller & Sam Peterson


Beat Schwaller

Beat came to Pioneer after completing his apprenticeship in heavy timber framing and carpentry in Switzerland. Beat heads the Soda Creek division with Sam Petersen. Beat's favorite thing about building our beautiful homes are the smiles and tears that come on the faces of our satisfied clients when they see their home for the 1st time. Now a master craftsman, he is known for his special designs, including massive roof systems, dove joinery and amazing carvings.

Sam Peterson
A master craftsman, Sam heads up the Soda Creek division along with Beat. Sam is a details guy in every sense of the log structure. Sam is well known over the past 14 years with Pioneer as thorough and meticulous, in every part of the Art of Log Construction. He is a key member of our team and much appreciated by all our clients. Many clients over the years have specifically asked to have Sam construct their Log Shell Package, after meeting him here at our facilities in Williams Lake, British Columbia.


Roy Keats

Roy Keats -Manager, Design & Architectural Services
Roy has over 13 years of design experience with Pioneer and is key to pulling all aspects of the planning phase together. He understands how to bring the incredible elements of log and timber into play with other building materials such as stone and other wood products. Pioneer is very proud of what Roy brings to every structure we construct and create. Roy's quiet demeanor and incredible work ethic, combined with design talent will surpass your highest expectations.


Donna Fitzel

Donna Fitzel
Donna has been a member of our design team for over 11 years. She has an incredible design sense for function and livability. Builders and home owners alike are always amazed at what she can create and bring to a project with regards to character and first impressions. Donna understands all aspects of construction related to fusion, log and timber-frame structures. Pioneer has the utmost respect for Donna's capabilities. Her pleasant way of communicating creates relationships with clients that are life lasting.


Don Gesinger


Don Gesinger

Don has been designing log and timber structures with Pioneer for over 24 years. Known for pushing the limits of our craft, Don challenges our master craftsmen to new levels of log and timber construction. He also understands Pioneer's passion for constructing the "Finest Log Homes on Earth". Don spends many hours with our master log smiths continually designing new ideas and implementing our old world craftsmanship. Pioneer is thankful for Don's dedication to our craft, and his amazing structures. His contribution is always amazing.


Norm Cramer

Norm Cramer
Norm has been a part of our team for over 6 years. His specialty and talents are working on construction drawings and consulting with engineers and planning departments. He is a talented "details" person and will challenge engineers with new detail alternatives related to log and timber construction. Norm's contribution to Pioneer is always appreciated.




Doug Warwick


Doug Warwick

Doug has been with the Pioneer team for over 4 years, concentrating mainly on construction drawings. His previous experience saw him working on commercial buildings and one of his first design projects for Pioneer was overseeing the log façade design on the Williams Lake Wal-Mart. The 1st Wal-Mart on the planet to have esthetic log features. Thanks Doug!!!

We are thankful to have such an elite design team. As mentioned above they take your dreams and ideas very seriously, and they love what they do!
