Celebrating over 35 years of family tradition in business

Cedar Ranch

Colorado Bound
After approximately 50 man-years of labour .... the Cedar Ranch was ready for disassembly, loading, and shipping to its' new home. Approximately 70 truckloads have been loaded and are now making their way to Colorado where a team of specialty log builders and the crane operator will work with the United States set-up crew to re-assemble this magnificent home.

Mark, Derek, and James, prepare to be lifted 50 feet in the air to hook the crane tongs for dismantling a section of roof for loading. After almost a year of working on this project any fear has been replaced with confidence and pride.

Danielle Dubielew operates the Liebherr 110 ton tower crane at the Williams Lake building site. The same crane model has been installed at the Colorado site for reassembly of this home. Communication with both the log setters and the ground crew is essential for smooth construction, dismantling and re-assembly of a project.

Peter Arnold has specially trained Mark Wessels, Derek Keesen, and James Kantymir to work with Danielle Dubielew, the senior crane operator at landing and fitting logs on Pioneers' custom structures. Often working at heights exceeding 50 feet in the air, this team of workers has had to develop a strong sense of trust and excellent communication skills to ensure the safety of all, including the ground workers and to ensure that the magnificent structures are constructed, then taken apart, and finally put back together in the correct manner at the customers building site. It takes excellent balance and depth perception with a strong ability to focus on the task of landing and setting logs while being aware of other activities going on around them.
