We are seeing it every day on the news! Now is the best time ever to start building your new dream Log Home. With the building industry slow, and so many builders and subcontractors with little work for their crews, it's the perfect opportunity to have them bid on your new Log Home project.

Supply outlets and websites are offering spectacular savings on interior materials such as flooring, cabinets, hardware and appliances. Lumberyards are offering framing materials at discounted rates. All over the country our clients are building projects for as much as 20 to 30% less than a couple of years ago. Combine all of that with the strong US dollar and the timing couldn't be better!

Stock market improvement might not be the key word for those who could afford to build in 2009. With our current economy many lumber mills and suppliers have been forced to shut down their operations. When the demand increases, product costs will increase also. It is forecast that once the mills re-open it will take several years to produce enough lumber to supply the demand. In the meantime, experienced loggers and mill workers may well have found other occupations and their labor force may be slim. The same applies to the construction trades too. With no means of income, workers may be forced to find other occupations, as the economy improves, you'll find there are fewer and fewer builders' available so you'll not only have to wait, but pay higher prices for their services also. You couldn't find a better time to build, than now!

With the strong US dollar, Pioneer is in a very good position to give our clients considerably higher savings on Full Log Packages, Fusion (Log Post and Beam) and Timber Frame packages as well as other supplies. Being involved in the timber industry Pioneer Log Homes has the resources to survive in this kind of economy because of our extremely large inventory of the finest house logs available in the industry. We have the rights to many stands of timber in a variety of species including the highly sought after Western Red Cedar. By controlling our harvesting we always have a supply of dried house logs. Pioneer Logging takes care of all our supply needs, keeping our log yards filled with the finest quality Western Red Cedar, Standing Dead Lodgepole Pine, Spruce and Douglas Fir.

Diversity and Flexibility in our products and with our clients have enabled Pioneer Log Homes to stay on top throughout the years even when times got tough. A leader in the handcrafted Log Home industry for over 35 years, Pioneer Log Homes is still going strong always helping our clients all over the world to realize their custom Log Home dreams and become a part of the "Pioneer Family".

Fusion Homes

Pioneers Outstanding Log Post and Beam

Over the years our master craftsmen have developed the Fusion style home to perfection. These outstanding, unique homes have been built using this revolutionary style that is truly a fusion between the traditional Full Log, Post and Beam & Timber Frame structures that have been around for hundreds of years. With Fusion style it allows you more flexibility in design and decorating with limitless options for wall finish, log sizes and character features. Our Pioneer Fusion homes consume almost half of our total production and have been some of our largest projects. These beautiful homes have been built in places like Colorado, Oregon, North Carolina, and British Columbia just to name a few. "Starting out as a traditional log home builder I was somewhat skeptical in the beginning" said Bryan Reid, owner and founder of Pioneer Log Homes. "I am now convinced that they are every bit as beautiful and appealing as anything we have ever built." Visit our photo gallery and look through the images, we are always updating with new pictures.

We would like to take this opportunity to proudly welcome some new faces to the Pioneer family.
