Bryan Reid III Named Among Canada’s Top 10 Under 40 by CFI Magazine

Every log we craft at Pioneer Log Homes carries a story—of forest, family, and craftsmanship. This year, one of those stories has taken centre stage on a national level. Bryan Reid III, site supervisor at Pioneer Log Homes of BC, has been recognized by Canadian Forest Industries (CFI) as one of its Top 10 Under 40 winners for 2025—an annual list celebrating young leaders shaping the future of Canada’s forest products sector.

Now in its 11th year, CFI’s Top 10 Under 40 program shines a spotlight on innovators, managers, and visionaries who are building stronger, more sustainable futures in forestry. From mill operations to resource management, each honouree represents a new generation committed to balancing growth with environmental stewardship. Bryan’s inclusion reflects both his personal dedication and Pioneer’s long-standing commitment to responsible building practices rooted in the forests of British Columbia.

For Bryan, forestry isn’t just an industry—it’s heritage. As the grandson of company founder Bryan Reid Sr. and son of Bryan Reid Jr., he’s part of a three-generation legacy that began in 1973 in Williams Lake, BC. Growing up surrounded by cedar logs, he learned early that building log homes is about more than structure—it’s about honoring the resource and the people who depend on it.

Today, Bryan oversees operations at Pioneer’s 150 Mile Log Yard, leading a dedicated team that crafts log homes destined for families around the world. His passion lies in continuing the family vision while mentoring new tradespeople and promoting sustainable timber sourcing—ensuring that the next generation inherits both skill and stewardship.

Recognition from CFI places Bryan among an inspiring group of young professionals driving innovation across Canada’s forestry and wood-products industries—from logging and mill operations to international distribution and community-based management. The award celebrates not only personal achievement but also the evolving role of forestry in supporting communities, protecting resources, and inspiring future leaders.
